The first wedding bouquets were small, round groupings of one type of flowers or multi colored mixtures. Queen Victoria’s wedding in 1840 popularized the all white bouquet. Her wedding flowers were orange blossoms carried in a small bouquet and also added to her veil and gown.
Today’s bouquets are larger than the earlier flower gatherings. All white bouquets are still preferred by a mijority of today’s brides, however, each bride is free to choose colors and combinations to fit her personality and style.
